"We’re working alongside Bentwaters Parks and the County Council to network with filmmakers and promote the region as a filming location, which will hopefully encourage the growth of the film industry in Suffolk" - Tim Wright, Director Bruizer Film and Video Agency

Bruizer is an award-winning video production company that uses its unique location among Suffolk’s myriad filming locations and proximity to London to attract a growing client list.

Founded in 2004, the agency takes on a huge range of filming projects including feature films, construction timelapse, motion capture and 3D modelling, with web video campaigns, TV and cinema commercials and corporate films making up most of its work.

Being based at the old fire station on Bentwaters Park, a former USAF airbase at Rendlesham, means it can offer extensive office, parking and storage space at a fraction of the cost a London-based agency would be paying.

Tim Wright, Director, said: “Essentially we’re successful because we love what we do and we always make high quality a priority in our films. We can compete with any London production agency in terms of creativity and production value!

“We even have room for a 2000 ft sq ft studio and voice-over recording suite onsite, plus we have so many beautiful and fascinating filming locations on our doorstep – both on the base and throughout Suffolk – where we have done a lot of filming.

“Over the years we have invested in some of the best film kit available, we’re incredibly lucky to own an Arri Alexa camera and a 27 ft crane. Doing more or less everything in house also makes our production process more efficient.”

Bruizer works with big clients from all over the country including the UK Space Agency, The National Lottery, The Science Museum and London’s Olympic Park - and is working on expanding its services as a marketing/advertising agency to meet the demand for video marketing and print, TV and digital advertising.

The company is also helping to promote The Suffolk Coast with a series of short films showing Suffolk’s places, people, culture, food and landscape through the seasons, which can be seen online and on the Bruizer website.

Tim explains: “In terms of films we’ve got a lot of favourites from over the years, which we are especially proud of, such as our work for the Suffolk Coast, Loch Duart up in Scotland and the National Lottery, We’re also proud of the talented team we have put together – the twelve of us who work full-time as well as our network of freelancers in the area.

“We do collaborate with other Suffolk based companies, so networking can be very valuable to us. A fair number of our clients from Suffolk and beyond come to us via word of mouth. We’re working alongside Bentwaters Parks and the County Council to network with filmmakers and promote the region as a filming location, which will hopefully encourage the growth of the film industry in Suffolk!”

Tim’s advice to businesses setting up in Suffolk is: “There’s a lot going on in Suffolk that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to find here – us for instance! Where you can, make Suffolk a selling point, but be prepared to travel as well, and look beyond Suffolk for business.”
